Today was super awesome, refreshing and super irritating.
It was radio day : )
OMG. I went to mediacorp studios radio station 93.8fm. AHHHHHHH. It's just, as we (debbz, pat and myself) were awaiting the interview, I watched eugene loh give the hourly news update, and melanie, help him with stuff in their freezing studio. It was so awesome. My hands turned cold when they pre-announced my anme and debbz name. Wow. I was thrilled. Debbz was even more thrilled. She msg the whole world, really. Debbz looks so sweet with her new hair cut. I cudnt recognise her at all. Gosh, she's only 26 you know, but she looks 22. I'll talk about her more. Shes one girl, many guys would go for really. At least to me, she has appeal.
So, getting back to the interview; it was an unforgettable experience. It may have been just a couplea mins in the afternoon slot of melanie and eugne's radio shift, but I saw the studio, I was interviewed with debbz and pat, and we played our songs. It meant the world to me. Kor was listening in, and so was anthony from marine cove. What more cud i ask for? And the arts house rep will be giving us a cd of the recording too. MAN. Talk about honour.
I really appreciate and treasure this opportunity. Thank you Pat. Debbz, it was lovely being interviewed with a lovely singer-song-writer, cum my friend , now. Really. : )
I have to say once again, that it was an honour just STEPPING into mediacorp radio studios, and 93.8 of all studios. I wudve loved to see 98.7 and 95, and 03.3, but nvm, that cud come later, if Im lucky.
Pat, Debbz and I headed back to Debbz place, which is just a bus stop frm ngee ann poly, to jam. They're doing a paul simon song tpgether for our coming gig. Debbz brought us to this LOVELY LOVELY place near her home, that sells home-made ice-cream. I felt like we were in a little town in france or smth. Debbz, comes off as a very refreshing individual to me. SHe makes me feel like life has so much more to live for. She brings with herself a sense of warmth, a sense of sincerity, genuine and bubbly. Shes cute, and simple, careful, yet sure of what she says and thinks. I was lucky and happy that Pat and I had time to just chill with her this afternoon over ice-cream, and we just talked about everything under the sun. Shes the kind of girl, who (unfortunately, BUT not in a bad way) makes me feel unsure abt myself, because shes so beautiful. Theres smth about her, that makes me feel, wow, she has tht special thing in her. And usually when I am around girls like herself, I cant really look them in d eye, coz I dont feel im there at all.
But she warmed up and I warmed up to her. And the three of us nearly did a movie marathon if not for my tuition kid tonight. I promise though, that I'd definitely be hanging out with her more. Im glad Pat introduced us properly this time round. It's a waste that its been like four mths since the last gig, and I only knew her by name, by pat's description of her, and the song that she worked with claire on. I remembered her as the girl with the long black and brown bohemian skirt, long hair, with her matching black guitar. Her guitar playing is awesome btw. And I remember Linus had smth for her. HEH. Shes 26, GOSH.
Pat and I went home and I napped till 7 before heading for tuition. This is the part where my day got screwy. My kid didnt do his homework, and I already didnt teach him on tuesday, which meant he had like a couplea more days to do his damn homework. He didnt complete english. Then he completed maths in a rush, didnt read the questions and filled up his bk with blardy nonsense; just so tht it looked like he did his work. He lost his spelling list,didnt study for oral, and lied to me that he didnt knwo when his exams were. I was really hopping mad. I promise myself once next tues is over, ive had it with this boy. hes not worth it to teach at all. His attitude stinks.
Anyways, had dnner after tuition,showered, read the papers, and gonna do some practising before i sleep. Pat went to rest already. His tummy keeps acting up.. hmms... but he did the craziest thing today. He went to work for one hr odd, and left during lunch for our interview, and he didnt go back. OMYGAWD. hahaaha. Well, Pat really is alot more powerful in his company, in the music scene and even with GIRLS over the many yrs, than he seems to be for the little man he is. HEH. I heart him all the same anyway. Hes an awesome brudder to have ard.
